Project: Landmark Poster
Platform: Procreate, Adobe Illustrator & After Effects
Year: 2024

This poster was designed as part of a project to highlight a personally visited landmark, Lake Wylie in Charlotte, NC, using a limited assigned palette of three colors. Inspired by the area’s natural beauty and wildlife, the design combines bold hand-written typography with illustrations of local wildlife, including a heron and catfish. The layout balances playful curves with clean lines, creating a dynamic and engaging composition. Extensive research and a personal visit informed the visual storytelling, ensuring authenticity in capturing the lake’s atmosphere. Additionally, the poster was transformed into an short looped animation, adding motion to the elements to further bring Lake Wylie to life.
